Ice cream and sherbet are some of the frozen staffs that are really consumed during hot days. However, most people use the words interchangeably which is not really the case.

Both are prepared in the same manner and are frozen and mostly consumed during hot days. Although they are different from each other depending on the ingredients used to prepare.

Ice cream is a sweetened frozen milk-based dessert that is made from ingredients such as sugar, milk, eggs, flavoring, organic fruits,  cream as well as colorings while sherbet is made up of slightly natural fruits, water, cream, butter or milk, sweetened fruit juice, flavorings, and vegetable gum as a stabilizer.

It can be of different sorts like premium, light, regular, economic, and less fat. Premium ice creams are slightly thicker, have a high-calorie count, and are used for gourmet flavoring.

Ice cream has high-fat content but light ice creams have less fat content as compared to regular ice creams.

What is Sherbet?

Sherbet is a frozen dairy product that is mostly made up of fruit juice. It is made by blending fruits, fruit puree, cream, and other various flavors.

They are made more like ice cream but the ingredients added to it to make it a dessert are different. They are heated at slightly warm temperatures to enhance the flavor of the dessert.

They are of only one type. They are not of many sorts like ice cream. They are creamier and they are very limited fruits such as oranges and strawberries.

They have less fat content as compared to ice creams and they are only based on fruit juice or fruit puree which is prepared under slightly warmer temperatures.
